BREMER BANK AND OTTO BREMER FOUNDATION GIVE $125,000 TO THE CROOKSTON ICE ARENAS PROJECTS
Protecting the Legacy, the Fundraising campaign for the new Crookston Ice Arenas Complex received a significant boost Friday from the Otto Bremer Foundation and Bremer Bank of Crookston in the amount of $125,000. Rob Jacobson, President of Bremer Bank in Crookston, announced a grant from the Otto Bremer Foundation in the amount of $75,000 and a pledge by Bremer Bank for $50,000. Rob Jacobson said, “On behalf of the staff and directors of Bremer Bank and the Otto Bremer Foundation, I am very pleased to present this grant and pledge as part of Bremer’s continued commitment to the community. The new Civic Arena will have a positive economic impact and create additional recreational opportunities for many decades.” The fundraising campaign stands near $800,000 right now to their goal of $1.1 million dollars. "We are so thankful for the generous contribution from the Bremer Bank and Foundation," said Craig Morgan, the Chair of Protecting the Legacy fundraising campaign, "We thank Rob and all the employees of Bremer for this community project." Morgan added that many of the Bremer employees have contributed individually as well.
